Certificates Distributing Ceremony for Vocational Training Participants

About 94 trainees of vocational trainings have been awarded by the certificates, on January 2018, at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR).

 

The ceremony was organized to acknowledge the efforts of the passing out trainees and motivate them to apply the learned knowledge and skills in their practical lives to earn an honorable and prosperous life.

 

PMAS-AAUR organized five vocational trainings in year 2017 in the area of livestock, agriculture & Food processing in collaboration with Punjab Skill Development Fund (PSDF).

 

Prof. Dr Sarwat N Mirza, Vice Chancellor PMAS-AAUR was the chief guest at the certificate distribution ceremony while Prof. Dr Atta ul Mohsin, Director External Linkages being the focal person of the training program organized this event.

 

Vice Chancellor PMAS-AAUR, Prof. Dr. Sarwat N Mirza congratulated the successful trainees for the completion of their training courses and said, "Such training courses help our unemployed youth to enhance their skills and initiate income generation activities in order to play better role in improving the livelihoods of their families and economy of the country."

 

He applauded the efforts of PSDF for providing opportunity to the poor and vulnerable populations of Punjab and said, "PSDF is playing a very vital role in developing skills and improving their current employment or in developing an enterprise."

 

He wished the trainees to utilize this capacity and skill to generate income for the betterment of their families and assured them every support from varsity in professional developments as well.

 

PMAS-AAUR initiated this joint venture with Punjab Skills Development Fund in 2015 and helped about 140 trainees in completing 7 different vocational training courses in the area of livestock, agriculture and food processing in last three years.

 

Prof. Dr Khalid Saifullah, Director Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), Prof. Dr Atta ul Mohsin, Director External Linkages also addressed and wished the trainees on their success. The ceremony was attended by the deans, directors, trainees, trainers and a large number of students.
