Korean Project Evaluation Team visited PMAS-AAUR

A three members Korean Experts Team led by Mr. Lee, Tae Joo (Team Leader) along with two officials from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) office Islamabad visited Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) on February 26-27, 2018, in order to conduct Post Project evaluation of Pak-Korea Capacity Building Centre for Agriculture & Livestock Technology (PKCBC). Mr. Abdul Rehman, Program Coordinator KOICA office Islamabad was facilitating this team during its evaluation activity.

 

The team also met with Prof. Dr. Sarwat N. Mirza, the Vice Chancellor of the University and shared the objectives and process of project evaluation. Later, Prof. Dr. Ata ul Mohsin, Director PKCBC briefed the evaluation team about completion process of the project, the future strategy and plan of PKCBC in years to come. He also shared the sustainability plan for this capacity building centre. He expressed that the centre is performing its role in very effective way and have successfully completed various short trainings, workshops and various vocational trainings (diploma courses) for 3-6 months duration. He told that promotion of Hydroponics Agriculture and Ostrich Farming among the farming communities are among the success stories of the University. Later, the team visited all sections of the PKCBC, Training Hall and Laboratories and shared information with the faculty members/Incharge of the Laboratories and training course. The Evaluation team also gets feed-back from the trainees of the various training courses. The team stayed at PKCBC a day long and also continued its evaluation activity on February 28, 2018. The team commended the working of PKCBC and expressed its views as this centre will play a pivotal role in capacity building and socio-economic development of farming communities.
