Monsoon Tree Plantation Drive

A Monsoon Tree Plantation Drive (August 1-7, 2021) under Prime Minister's Program "Clean and Green Pakistan" was launched at PMAS-AAUR by the University Green Office (UGO). The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman kicked-off the campaign by planting a tree of Chir Pine in the University. During the event, the Registrar of the University along with Deans, Directors and senior officials also participated in the event. The Vice Chancellor said that this campaign will be helpful to encourage our employees and especially students to collectively plant trees with national cause and spirit. He also directed all heads of departments to take part in the "Plant for Pakistan" campaign by planting saplings in their respective departments. He also augmented that as per the decision of Vice Chancellor's Forum, under Tree-20 Program every student of the University is bound to plant and save 20 trees during his tenure of study. The Director UGO Mr. Shahid Ali Khan said that two nurseries were established which are providing saplings of different species free of cost not only to the University staff & students but also the community of twin cities. Participants planted the trees not only at the Campus but outside the campus side. A massive campaign was also held at Sub-Campuses Attock & Khushab to make Pakistan green.
