An Orientation Ceremony was held at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) for newly admitted students in Faculty of Crop and Food Sciences (session 2014), On October 17, 2014.

PMAS-AAUR, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad, welcoming the newcomers, congratulated them for becoming a part of University and stated that youth is the future of Pakistan. He said Pakistan is blessed with excellent natural resources and very talented people. He encouraged students to work hard to prove their mettle. He hoped that they would develop utilize their potential as future leaders to make the country progress as envisaged by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

He asked the students to excel in their respective fields as the university provides them an ideal environment to develop their potentials. Vice Chancellor advised them to work hard, with full commitment and full devotion to their studies. He said the PMAS-AAUR has been trying hard to ensure quality education and facilities for its students. He told the new students to dedicate their time and energy to attaining education. The Vice Chancellor urged the students not to spare any efforts in obtaining as much knowledge as they could.

On the occasion, all the Deans/Directors and Principals Officer were also present. They addressed the students and reminded them of their responsibilities with stress on the element of punctuality, proper dressing, and good behavior. All the departmental in charges were also introduced to the students to make them familiar with the mechanism of university.
