The functional areas supported by Office of Research staff include information services, project & proposal development assistance, grants and contracts administration for pre-award and selected post-award tasks. All proposals submitted by University personnel must be transmitted to /and reviewed by Office of Research staff to assure adherence to internal and external policies and procedures. ORIC is also Identifying and informing the faculty about the research grants opportunities for them to apply and then assist them in acquiring funds from international and national funding agencies.

The Director of the Office serves as the designated University Officer for all related matters.

The university is focusing its efforts on need base research of arid agriculture in general and Pothwar region in particular. The major areas of research focus are:
