At the University Institute of Information Technology (UIIT), we are committed to building a strong and sustainable education system that meets the technological needs of our country. We aim to provide a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes excellence in the computing domain. Our goal is to produce graduates who are knowledgeable, skilled, responsible, and hardworking.

Our degree programs are accredited by the National Computing Education Accreditation Council under the Higher Education Commission. We follow Outcome-Based Education (OBE) standards in line with national and international requirements to ensure high-quality education. We also maintain strong connections with industry, which help our students gain practical exposure, internships, and job opportunities. Regular feedback from industry experts helps us continuously improve and update our curriculum according to modern demands.

About UIIT 

The University Institute of Information Technology (UIIT) was established at the PMAS Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, Pakistan to address the growing need for skilled professionals in software development and technology. Since its inception in 2001, UIIT has grown significantly and now offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Software Engineering and Computer Science with specialization in General Computing & Artificial Intelligence. The institute currently serves around 1,900 undergraduates, 90 postgraduates, and has a Ph.D. program in Computer Science. Our well-equipped computer labs provide a conducive learning environment for research and development.

UIIT is committed to contributing to the national effort to produce world-class human resources by developing a sustainable IT education system that meets the country's technological needs.

Accreditation and Standards: Our degree programs are accredited by NCEAC-HEC, adhering to OBE-based national and international standards.

Industry Connections: We maintain strong relationships with industry partners, regularly seeking feedback to align our curriculum with current industry demands.

Technology in Agriculture: A significant focus of our research is leveraging technology to address challenges in agriculture, developing IT-based solutions that advance agricultural practices.

Workshops and Events: We host national and international workshops, business galas, IT expos, and open house events. Our students also participate in inter-university competitions, consistently winning prizes and competing at higher levels.

Technical Training: We offer technical training throughout the year, with an intensified focus during the summer session to enhance practical skills.

Incubation Facility: Our incubation facility supports student entrepreneurs by providing resources and mentorship to develop innovative ideas and start their own ventures.

Scholarships: Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students by the government, the university, and various other organizations, providing financial support and recognizing academic excellence.

Sports and Extracurricular Activities: Regular indoor and outdoor sports competitions are held to promote physical fitness and team spirit among students.
