A felicitation dinner in the honor of Prof. Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi organized by Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) on February 18, 2013. Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad, Chairman PARC and renowned agricultural Scientists & engineers were present on the occasion.

During informal round of discussion the research activities being carried on at both the institutions were elaborated. Chairman PARC and Vice Chancellor, PMAS-AAUR agreed to strengthen the interaction and collaboration among PARC and Arid Varsity. They highlighted the significance of close linkages with organizations and hoped that

it will not only help them to resolve common issues but also enhance the mutual understanding for the development of faculty and research activities. They also agreed by enhancing collaborative efforts both institutes will work together for the promotion of research activities.

On the occasion, Dr. Niaz also announced that University is going to establish a new faculty of Agricultural Engineering in near future. In response Chairman PARC committed to support the establishment of proposed faculty at the University and also assured all kinds of technical support in this regard. He further extended cooperation in terms of skillful man power available at PARC.

Vice Chancellor thanked the organizers for providing such an opportunity to sit together and discuss the issues of mutual interests.
