21 October 2016 (Attock) PMAS AAUR – Attock Campus celebrated its 2nd anniversary here on Friday. The seed that was sown by the Honorable Minister Sheikh Aftab Ahmad, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and visionary Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad has successfully completed its two years. The two years celebrations are also marked with the first pass-out badge of F. Sc. – Pre-Agriculture class. A stateliest ceremony was held at the Attock Campus and Sheikh Salman Sarwar (s/o Sheikh Aftab Ahmad, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs) was invited as chief guest. The occasion was dignified with the participation of DCO Attock Rana Akbar Hayat and Chairman TMA Attock Sheikh Nasir Mehmood. The event started with the name of Almighty followed by Naat – e – Rasul e Maqbool (PBUH). Syeda Amina Raza Zaidi was the stage secretary who highlighted the achievement of the Attock Campus briefly.
Sheikh Salman Sarwar, in his speech, told that the present government is spending billions of rupees on education sector. He was of the view that the importance of agriculture in the economic development cannot be denied. Dr. Zuhair, then, stated how Barani Agriculture development is the dire need of time. He also spotlighted that the student enrollment in the campus has increased from 80 to around 300 in the last two years showing the credibility and trust of the people on the quality education available at the Attock Campus. DCO Attock Rana Akbar Hayat was pleased and praised the performance of Campus Director and his team. He emphasized on public-private partnership for agriculture development. Chairman TMA Attock Sheikh Nasir Mehmood also delivered a small speech on the occasion. The anniversary was attended by a large gathering of faculty/staff members and students. Celebrations ended with cake cutting ceremony.
