Workshop for Female Employees on Emotional Intelligence
In line with the vision of the Vice-Chancellor a workshop on "Emotional Intelligence: Know
Yourself and other humans around you" for females employees was jointly organized by the
CAS-D, NCIB and Department of Sociology, to manage emotions of one's self as well as of
others to handle the challenges of life successfully. The workshop was attended by the female
directors, associate and assistant professors and lecturers of different disciplines of the
university. The workshop was initiated with the welcome address by the speaker and trainer, Dr
Aneela Afzal, CAS-D, Assistant Professor (Department of Socio-logy). She highlighted the
significance of effective and efficient dealing of emotions at the workplace as well as for
personal relationships. The participants shared their success stories and their ways of dealing
with stressful situations, their dream roles and their plans to achieve professional and personal
targets. They were trained on self manag-ement, self-awareness, social awareness & relationship
manag-ement. They were motiv-ated to look for those pathways through which they can achieve
their work and personal life targets to nurture their emotional intelligence. Dr Abida Akram
Professor/Chairperson Botany department also addressed the participants about grooming
oneself, building stronger relationships and tenacity to achieve life goals and to overcome
challenges.
