PMAS-AAUR & SVASVC, China Signed MoU
Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) and Shandong
Vocational Animal Science and Veterinary College, China (SVASVC) signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) to provide the framework for the parties to collaborate closer to explore
and achieve any mutually beneficial educational cooperation in Veterinary and Animal Sciences.
In beginning, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, the Vice-Chancellor of the PMAS-AAUR introduced
his team and shared the institution's achie-vements concerning educational and research
initiatives especially in the field of veterinary and animal sciences. While sharing his views he
said that the University is a quality-focused higher education institution that provides an
excellent academic and research environment for producing resea-rchers and scholars in the
fields of Agriculture, Livestock and allied sciences. Formerly, Dr Li Xuetai, the President of
SVASVC, China also introduced his team along with sharing brief history and accomplishments
of his instit-ution. Prof. Dr. Ahrar Khan (Univer-sity of Agriculture Faisalabad) liaised with the
leadership of both institutions in materializing this collaboration. Both of the Institutions
intended to work together to identify and develop any mutually beneficial cooperation
opportunity, which may include exploring collabo-ration to conduct Student Exchange Program
for short-term study, internship, & entrepre-neurship to jointly establish a student exchange
based in Pakistan. The parties also agreed to organize online/offline training, teachers'
communication and technical guidance sessions on Veterinary Sciences & Livestock Production,
etc. Furthering various diversified initiatives under this MoU, faculty members/experts of both
institutions will exchange and jointly undertake research proj-ects, develop training courses,
write books etc.
