Drama Competition Held at PMAS-AAUR



The dramatic club of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University (PMAS-AAUR) Thursday organized inter-faculty drama competition in  the university on June 20 , 2013,   under the auspices of the Directorate of Students Affairs, with an aim to provide a platform to the talented students to exhibit their performance.

 

Students from different departments presented dramas and highlighted problems confronting Pakistan. Young artists presented in dramas that it’s now Pakistani youth responsibility to play their due role for peace, progress and prosperity of Pakistan. They earned the applause of the audience through their acting and strong dialogues highlighting how social values could be saved in an ever-changing modern society through the adoption of religious and cultural values.

 

In the competition Faculty of Basic Sciences got first position, Agriculture Faculty second and Management Sciences & Information Technology teams got third positions.



PMAS-AAUR, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad, was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed prizes among the winners and lauded their active participation. Speaking on the occasion, chief guest highlighted the importance of such competitions for the promotion of healthy activities among the students and said that such activities is a dire need of the day and essential for inculcating in them the sense of responsibility, discipline, obedience and punctuality. He emphasised that such events should be organised regularly as they provided the youth with an opportunity to unleash their hidden talents in extracurricular activities.

 

A big gathering of audience comprising distinguished faculty members and students were witnessed on the occasion. The audience not only boosted the confidence of the participants but also appreciated them on their marvelous performance.
